I think the place was beautiful, the installations too, they give good food, I'm also grateful because they received me in a moment when I needed, but the internal environment between volunteers affected me because I'm so peaceful, this environment is not nice and there is not a leadership from the hostel for it and didn't solve the problems, so many dramas for me, I feel the owners could have more direction with the volunteers, they flow so much for me, If a problem exist they don't make a research, they just judge without facts or evidence and take unfair decisions that affected my plans.

Simth, you need to learn live in a group! The hostel is one shared house.
You can't bring people to socialize in the volunteers' room. We canceled your volunteering due to adaptation issues and even so we gave you ten days to find another place!

Volunteering at the hostel was an incredible experience with many cultural exchanges. During that month, which extended into two more months, I was able to practice English and Spanish amid exchanges with other volunteers and guests. The hostel has a privileged location being close to one of Salvador's best beaches, which even allows seeing a beautiful sunset from the balcony. The breakfast options and the foods provided for lunch and dinner help a lot during the volunteering period. A big hug to Flávio and the house mascot Tchuca.

My experience at the hostel and SolCity was very special. Flavio was always open to listening to ideas and giving me the freedom to develop the marketing for both hostels. I also carry with me the affection of Tchuca, the four-legged companion who brightens every day. But above all, I am grateful to the volunteers, who made the work and daily life together much lighter and more enjoyable. I leave with lessons learned, friendships, and very fond memories of Salvador.

It was an incredible experience, I stayed 1 month in Salvador, and it was my first volunteer job. Fabiana and Flavio were very helpful with everything I needed! The day-to-day team, Rosi and Maresia, are wonderful, welcoming, and give full support to the volunteers, I felt like family, haha! The hostel's location and breakfast (the same as the guests') are wonderful, everything is nearby and the best beach, Porto da Barra, as your backyard!
