My experience at Bota.Nicas was amazing. I felt the nature in a free and wild mode, and this was inspired. Maria and Paulo took care of me while I was sick, they did a fair distribution of tasks, and one of the best part, they showed to the volunteers their ability to tell stories and share their culture with us. Stay at Bota.Nicas also allowed me to know amazing people , others volunteers with an exquisite energy, and I really loved to spend some time with them. I hope I can come back soon! and they allowed me to take some amazing pictures and videos, and I hope they like ❤️

We planned to visit Bota.nicas in the wintertime where it was too cold to stay outside in the tent so Maria offered us to stay closeby with Nuno, Lila &their sweet babygirl Luz.
We had an incredible time and learned so many things about permaculture, sustainable living and met amazing people. We got provided with everything we needed, had nice food &many fresh tangerines!
Bota.nicas is around the corner- it’s close to nature and beautiful.
Maria and Paolo picked us up on the last days to show us their hometown. Everybody was very welcoming and we are hoping to see you soon!

I spent nearly 6 weeks at Bota.Nicas and had a wonderful experience. Maria and Paulo are extremely welcoming and generous and the land is beautiful. Maria and Paulo will often take the volunteers out and visit local cafes and bars, which makes you feel like you know the area well. The food is great and the tents are comfy. They are both very chatty people, so you will have no problems with being bored! I would love to come back in the future to see the progress made on the bio-construction house!

Bota Nicas is a wonderful place with a good energy. Maria and Paolo are very kind, and I found myself in a very familiar ambient. The project is relatively young, so there is still path to be done. They have big ilussion with the project, and you can see it. In the moment that I was there, we were doing a cob house. We were working more hours than the expected ones, but only because there was a need of continue for trying to advance as much as possible. We also had more time off to compensate that hours. I had a really good experience and I'm happy with the time I spent there.
