The Experience

This adventure offers young children the opportunity to explore the diverse aspects of animal life in parks and engage in various challenges. Volunteering at Blessed Children's Hope Foundation was my first experience as a volunteer on Worldpackers, and it couldn't have been better! The most important thing is that I felt super welcomed by Andrew's family at home, they provided everything necessary, and they are always there if you need anything, so soon it became like a second home on the other side of the world. 🥰 Then there are the kids at school, I love them so much, they are sweet and curious to get to know you, and even if sometimes it's not very easy to teach them in class, at the end they are happy to learn with you!

The time at the organization was an incredibly enriching experience. I learned so much about the culture and the way people live there. Unfortunately, during the first week, I didn't have the support of a teacher, so I had to improvise. In the second week, the teacher was there, and I was able to provide assistance during the lessons. The children are all so kind, open-hearted, and absolutely endearing. On our days off, we took small trips to the market and other places. Andrew and his family is very friendly and welcoming. We had our own room and bathroom, and there was always plenty of food.

From the first day I started teaching here, I got so touched by the lovely kids…and the touching and beautiful experience lasted throughout my journey 🥹… their sweet bright smiles, crystal and genuine eyes, are the gems of my life 🥺; I love them… Andrew is a very responsible person, both as host and principal of the school; even though he's busy with lots of things, he'll reply to you fast and help you solve issues and arrange stuff; There would be several volunteers here all the time, even if there isn't, you won't feel lonely cuz the cute kids at the host family are so lovely and energ

Volunteering in the organization has been one of the most enriching experiences of my life. Andrew's family made me feel at home. They were incredibly supportive, providing continuous assistance throughout my stay. One of the highlights was the cultural exchange. I learned so much about Kenyan traditions, languages, and daily life. The children were eager to share their stories, songs, and dances, which enriched my understanding and appreciation of their culture. The resilience and optimism of the children, despite their challenges, were particularly inspiring .
