It was kinda exactly how i imagined it to be. I stayed for 3 weeks and was able to work on a lot of different tasks therefore learned a lot. If you are generally interested in environmental sustainability and agraculture this place is perfect. I came to learn but also to detox from the stressfull city-life, the all surrounding forest provides one with a very vibrant but calming energy. I slept great in my tend, food was a lot and amazing. Hours were very fair and flexible, nico who is "in charge" of the campus is a very funny and understandable guy, big shoutout to him and esma(the cook)!!

This was the best first solo experience I could've asked for. Being a first time female solo traveler was intimidating but Panama was incredibly safe. I had a chance to learn a bit of Spanish and practice it as well as most of the staff only speaks Spanish. The reviews are accurate because Nicky (Nico) was actually a great storyteller and the best host. We are now besties. Mark was nice for the brief time I met him. One thing I'd like to note is that you will most likely stay in a tent so be sure you're comfortable with that. It wasn't communicated until a few days before my trip.

The organization main campus at Mamoní Valley Preserve is lovely. Nico is kind and funny and really cares for volunteers - he's definitely the dad of Mamoní. Mark is likewise wonderful. Both men are well-versed on the beauty of the location and the cool stuff to see and do in nature. I was also able to work with many other wonderful people such as Nathan and Zita, Claus, Juan Carlos, and others in the city. Good people. Great organization. Legit community/family environment at Mamoní. Awesome experience to reconnect to nature and chill for a bit.

My experience at Geoversity was amazing! At Mamoní I found very kind people eager to share with you. I helped with maintenance and gardening while learning about Panama's biodiversity. Other interesting things to learn about waste management and energy generation at Center Mamoní. I recommend this volunteering experience to anyone who wants to connect with nature and learn about sustainability. Thanks to the Geoversity Staff and other volunteers for such a great experience.

Absolutely loved my time with Geoversity! I've learned many new things and loved spending my time outdoors. The location is remote, but it is perfect to get more in touch with nature whilst still having great facilities. The nature is beautiful and relaxing. The best part were the people, especially Nico and Esme. Nico is a great guy from whom you can learn a lot and Esme is super nice and makes the best food! The other volunteers were also great company, would definitely recommend!
