The Experience

The volunteer's role is to share and teach the children the skill. What we are mainly looking for are sports, academic, and recreational workshops, among others. For example: Origami Workshop, Martial Arts Workshop, Crafts Workshop, and more. The volunteer assessment will take place at the end of the workshop and will focus on the child's autonomy to perform the taught skill.

Volunteering at the organization was such a learning experience for me. The whole family, especially Julio and Karina, are so kind and welcoming. They gave me tips of things to do in the area and made me feel more comfortable. The kids and teachers I worked with were so wonderful and were patient with me while I was practicing/learning Spanish. I was able to experience several different classrooms and teaching styles which made the experience even better. I recommend the organization for anyone who wants to fully focus on volunteering and learning some about Peruvian culture!
