The Experience

We are in build phase but you don't have to be an experienced builder. We have professionals on staff just need more people to help :) We build, we paint, we decorate, and make this place the most amazing place on Earth that you can all HOME and keep coming back to :) The right people will have a lot of energy but can also be calm. We usually work in groups with music and it is a lot of fun!

I stayed at Heartland for the Month of July in 2021, and I can say with confidence that this experience has changed my life for the better. Anders and Shama are spectacular people who provided me with the opportunity to reconnect with nature and learn more about myself. I learned life skills every day during my stay. Anders will teach you how to do construction and garden, while Shama will teach you how to navigate your way through all the nonsense life throws your way. I cannot recommend this experience enough.

As this was my first experience with Worldpackers, Shama and Anders provided an excellent experience for me to find myself in the remote 26 acres of peaceful bliss. The food is for the most part whole and healthy, and the people amazing. There is a strong sense of family and people are very supportive and friendly. The location boasts some spectacular amenities such as the two kayaks that sit near the lake. Anders is a fun and open minded guy who will listen and support people with respect and dignity. I love this place, and can easily see myself returning.

The weeks I spent in Heartland were great and with great learning, when I arrived I spoke almost nothing in English and with everyone's help I managed to communicate and improve, the work was more therapy than work, very organized place and with lots of integration with everyone who was there!
A great experience and I hope to return one day!
Thank you Anders!

Anders, thank you so much for this experience! Our time in Heartland was amazing. The work was very good, everything super organized, always a new learning experience. The food was delicious. We formed a really cool group, where we were able to share Yoga classes, art classes, movie sessions, community dinners and etc ... lots of conversations and connections that we will bring to our life. The energy in Heartland is amazing. We learned a lot about work and life. Fully recommended.
