The Experience

We have a small, fun hostel, and take on one volunteer per month that helps out with cleaning the bathrooms and common areas, cleaning private accommodations after guests have departed, and generally helping out around the hostel with laundry, gardening, greeting new guests. It's an average of 3 hours of helping a day, in exchange for a dorm stay and wi-fi. We have a pool and patio, and are about a 3 min walk to the beach with great snorkeling.

Well, it's more like a home stay, as it's situated more in a little village. Quiet; with a good breeze often in the front smoking aloud porch. Which I spent quiet a bit of time in! The kitchen facilities are fine for cooking your own food. They have three dogs there that are endearing as you get to know them. It's in a central position, with only a short mini bus ride to West End beach, or Coxen Hole. The collectivo taxi's & mini buses are cheap & regular.

One of the best places in Central America, totally worth it, Mel, the owner, is an amazing person and the job it is quite simple but requires attention.
The locals are very helpful and nice too.
