Positive
Jose (owner of the hotel) is a receptive and good person. You’ll learn about local food, culture and develop your spanish. The food is good! Breakfast and lunch eat together with volunteers, like a family.

Negative
Don't feel guilty, for desire what was agreed. On Wolrdpackers is 32h & 1 day free (week), this will not happen in Residence Las Trojes. Probably you’ll get a call 1am (Jose) to receive guest… also will work 8:30am in breakfast. Scale of work don’t exist, volunteers work all day.

I had a great experience, the food is unique and the place is very clean and beautiful. Jose (the owner) is a special person, always with a great humor, kind and super friendly. I recommend everyone to stay at Residence Las Trojes.

Pros – clean environment, reasonable tasks, comfortable bed, and received three decent meals per day.

Cons – Jose L did not respect the agreed upon work hours or my day off. The agreement was 32 hours a week and 1 day off. I asked for a work schedule at the very beginning to avoid confusion. He would not set one. He had me work from 8am to between 2-330pm daily and took the position that I must be at the hotel in the evenings so that I could help guests. One day, he woke me up at 5:30 am to receive guests. He had me work on my day off at 10:30 pm. I worked 33 hours in only 5 days.
