The hosts are good people, but the experience could have been pleasing if the volunteering hours were repectected and if there was a manager to stay with the 2 volunteers, we're in charge of ALL the hoteI tasks. I felt overwelmed most of the time, bc you cant "disconnect" from ur activities on ur free time, its a 24/7 job, i worked much more than 5 hours/day. In terms of communication, i fell that the hosts should have a clear standard on how they want the tasks to be done, i would do things in a way i was taught by one person there and than someone else would say that was not the right way.

June 2024 was a hectic period. Your co-worldpacker was out for a holiday only. With no touch of flair for the hotelier business. So he went off again.
Your stay did not become the best. Out little place requires somehow passionated worldpackers seeing themselfes doing hotelier business.
The hours can become long with a lot of doing nothing in between.
Your skills came Well right, when you teached language with other young couple to take over.
Their your passionated energy showed off.
To the new couple “running” the house, I said when leaving: threat it as your house.” The look in their eyes tells everything”. They are ON.

So Dear worldpacker community; our place is not a standard guesthouse/hotel.
It can give you this lifetime french experience as the most of the worldpackers have had, if you are into it.

First of all I want to thank Bjarne and Suzette for my hosts. But especially I want to thank Christine, for always caring about me! This leads me to my first point. If you apply alone, you will be on your own for some time - just think of it. I would recommend going there as a pair. Apart from that, I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anybody!

My partner and I came to the guest house with any expectations but if we would have them, the place and people would totally exceed them! Suzette and Bjarne are absolutely great hosts, this was our first experience as worldpackers and we're grateful for the kindness, help, and trust given to us. They together with Christine and Tony make feel the volunteers as guests, working in team and communicating doubts or suggestions, which are always well accepted. What a fabulous place to connect with nature, people, improve in english/the guest house and management skills!

I had the pleasure to stay at the guest house for a month and I spent a marvellous time there. First of all, I would like to thank Bjarne for being the best “boss” I could ask for: he guided and helped me with all the tasks, but he also gave me trust and freedom. Moreover, the place is stunning, as well as the surroundings, allowing you to connect with the tranquillity of nature. I also had the opportunity to practice my the guest house. I recommend this experience to anyone, especially if you are new to Worldpackers. I really hope to go back soon, grazie mille Bjarne!
