My experience at Columbus Hostel was unforgettable. It gave me the opportunity to meet friends all around the world, each with their own story and experience to tell.
I worked in the hostel as receptionist and housekeeper. Tasks were very simple and working hours flexible.
The menagers are adorable, always ready to help you.
I really recommend it to everyone!

I really liked to work as a volunteer in Columbus Hostel. I worked in the construction where we helped with renovating an apartment 25 hours a week, which feels a lot but the owners are very flexible about the working hours. During my stay I went to other Hostels in Gran Canaria, where I could stay for free because of Columbus Hostel's partnerships. Visiting other hostels in your free time is a very good opportunity to see other parts of the island. All the volunteers at Columbus were very nice.

I had a great time during my stay at Columbus Hostels, the management was very kind and respectful and easy to talk to when any issue came up. The other volunteers were generally amazing and we all had a really great time together. The work was alright and I still had plenty of free time. The accommodation was a bit dark but other than that it was a pretty cool environment. I would recommend this host to anyone looking for a chill international hostel that is close to a historical center and several beaches.
