We're looking for a volunteer to help clean, do housekeeping & general maintenance and possible gardening on our quieter days in exchange for accommodation. We also cook pancakes each morning for our guests. This role is generally 2-3 hours per day, 6 days a week. Sometimes you may work a little over 3hours & other days you will work less. First time volunteering and it was a really nice experience! The work is exactly as it's described, 6 days a week 3 hours a day but we would take 2h-2h30m most days. There were just 4 volunteers (3 on days off), so during those 2-3h you are really working the whole time, but everyone does their best to finish asap so we were always ready before 12pm (maybe once or twice had to stay 10 more mins, but never more) Everyone in the staff is really nice and welcoming and there's also lots of people staying long-term in the hostel, which makes it easy to connect with people and make friends:)

I had a great time at the hostel! Truly one of the nicest and most welcoming hostels I have ever been to, so it felt like the perfect place to volunteer at! The deal was very fair: 2-3 hours work per day, (starting at 9:00, finishing at 12:00 at the very latest), in exchange for free accommodation . The work itself was not hard at all, and included making pancakes for the guests! Which was fun:) The community at the hostel is outstanding, everyone is always up for doing activities together and the environment was very warm, welcoming and including. I also loved the pool & hammocks:)

PMB is a wonderful place. As my first time volunteering, I highly recommend this place to anyone. I have made some life-long friends and enjoyed being here during their busy season! Ben is very hands-on and always open to talk. If you take direction well and can coordinate with people easily, this is the hostel for you. 💕 I personally found balancing volunteering and working locally a challenge and recommend to other the hostel that wish to work to save money to shoot for 4 weeks. The hostel feels like a house share with the long term guests. Overall grateful for the experience! 😊

I don't even know where to start. I had one of the best times of my life in this Hostel. I extended my stay because I couldn't imagine leaving this place after 1 Month already. I got used to the Hostel community& the routines so quickly and loved every single part about it. It is so fun to be around travellers and open minded people all the time. We went surfing almost every day, cooked together or went to the beach for sunrise before work. I would highly recommend volunteering at PMB. You gonna meet the best people& also Ben is an amazing host. Thanks for everything! Can't wait to be back :)

What a great experience! Had so much more fun than I could have anticipated. Loved working quick shifts in the morning keeping the hostel clean and then heading off to enjoy the beach and sunny days with friends. Couldn't recommend this place enough, so much love and such nice people in this little hostel! :)
