We're looking for a volunteer to help clean, do housekeeping & general maintenance and possible gardening on our quieter days in exchange for accommodation. We also cook pancakes each morning for our guests. This role is generally 2-3 hours per day, 6 days a week. Sometimes you may work a little over 3hours & other days you will work less. Our hostel has a friendly, chilled out vibe and is close to town, beautiful beaches & the Koala Hospital.

My experience at PMB was great!! It wasn’t that busy when i was there but the amount of work was super fair and doable. We finished early most days. Ben is great and was super understanding of me needing to leave a few days early. I made great friends at PMB and enjoyed the town overall. It is a very chill town and cozy hostel that feels like home quickly.

I really enjoyed my time volunteering with PMB! All the other volunteers were incredibly friendly and easy to get along with, and it was great talking to all the short-term and long-term guests that come through the hostel. The work is easy and definitely manageable too. It was a wonderful opportunity and would highly recommend to everyone! :)

I miss it already! This hostel felt like a home away from home. The travelers and work-for-accommodation staff were amazing. We shared unforgettable moments surfing, hiking, whale watching, cooking, and having chill movie nights or parties. It's the perfect place to improve your English, meet people from all over the world, and even find casual work to earn some money. Plus, it's ideally located for weekend trips to Sydney, Byron Bay, Brisbane, or Newcastle!

I had a great volunteering experience at PMB.. The working hours were well organised, and the tasks were varied, from housekeeping and cleaning the pool to making delicious pancakes.
I met many friendly people, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The location is perfect too, with a bus stop nearby and the ocean only a 15-minute walk away :))

I enjoyed my time in the hostel - there is always a lovely bunch of people in the hostel, both long term guests and other volunteers so very easy to make friends. The town is small but the beaches are beautiful and lots of nice cafes.
