Egidio and the whole staff made me feel welcome and home from day one. They are very nice people and we’re always willing to help me understand how to get things done. This was my first volunteering experience and it was kind of hard right in the beginning, but as I got used to the job it started to be easier. I got to practice my English, French, Italian and Spanish while staying here. Egidio was always giving me advice to go see the best spots in SF! I’m already missing this wonderful place and would sure want to comeback!

This was my fist volunteering experience. And I actually I ended up staying a month longer because I enjoyed it so much. As soon as I walked in I felt welcome and at home. The work is easy and you only work half days so there’s always time to spend with the guests and the other workers. The workers and guests are very friendly and the hostel is in a great area. Between China town and north beach there is so much to do and see! I loved staying here so much it’s become like a second home for me, I would love to come back again !
