I enjoyed the most unforgettable frozen pizza here, along with some tasty pie and soup. I especially loved how tidy and clean the bathroom was, I wish I could spend more time in there, but was advised only to shower once a day. Her house is beautifully detailed and organised. I felt so fortunate to have a reserved seat in the spacious dining room. On my days off, she loved taking me on adventures. I wish I can go shopping with her and help carry the bags, instead of waiting in the car.

This time around was even better than the first time, and I cannot thank Charlotte enough for her endless generosity and kindness. I'll cherish forever my time at the guest house's, I met wonderful new friends there and I filled my heart with joyous memories and experiences. Thanks again to Charlotte who made all of this possible, I'll miss you (and Sophie too!).

I spent one month here and had a great time! Charlotte was beyond fair with the volunteer working hours (I stayed with her during the off season, so the workload was light). The accommodation was terrific, super comfortable and cozy regardless of whether you are sharing a room or not (depending on the number of volunteers). She prepared excellent meals, really delicious, and is great about taking volunteers on fun day trips to see the highlands! Beautiful nature and hikes in the area to explore during your free time or while walking Sophie. Much love to Charlotte, Sophie and Rags!

The guest house was amazing! was my first volunteering, Charlotte was awesome, She is very aware of the respect towards the volunteers, the food was always fantastic, she cooks and is fabulous, She in the days off took a stroll us, it was very funny, the work not is difficult only you need to have orden, She corrected my words or ways of saying things, thanks to that I have improved, I recommend this place if you are willing to change your way of thinking a little and adapt to this place, she has adorable pets, it is important that you like them as you deal with them, I highly recomme

Oh thanks for your lovely comments and I am so pleased you enjoyed your short time here and you will be very welcome to come back again in the future in the summer as you say when the cows come back to graze in the fields. I hope the retreat works well for you and look forward to hearing all about it. Keep in touch - hugs from Sophie and Rags and me

Staying with Charlotte for a month, I learned a lot about cleaning, life in Scotland, history of Scotland, and also got to know Charlotte. She was very nice to us, and provided us with 3 meals a day, a place to stay, and took us places most days off in her car. As long as you don't mind cleaning, and like a small town or nature sort of setting I would highly recommend applying here. Charlotte also offered us a lot of helpful insight for the next bits of our trip which I'm really grateful for.
