The Experience

El proyecto nació de la idea de aprovechar un terreno familiar y con la meta de vivir de una manera más sostenible, sencilla y resiliente. A la fecha (2023) llevamos 3 años experimentando y aprendiendo en distintas direcciones. Este año arrancamos con la renta de 3 espacios diferentes por lo que actualmente gran parte de la labor está enfocada en quehaceres domésticos y/o el trato con los huéspedes.

I gotta say I had a really great experience at Brotes & Ceniaz. The host Alejandro was allways super nice to us and had an open ear regarding any concernes. The working hours were very short and the tasks we got, were mostly really interesting. The surrounding villages are super relaxed and perfect for hikes or other outdoor aktivities. On our days off Alejandro took us to meet his friends and climb at the local crags. He also let us experience the local food culture and had alot of knowledge on many topics regarding the local culture, sustainable living or permaculture.:)

Alejandro es un excelente anfitrión que está buscando volver 100% sostenible su proyecto. Debo decir que va por buen camino. Hay ahorro de agua y purificación de agua local, manejo de residuos orgánicos, algunos inorgánicos y humanos. Se cultivan verduras orgánicas y las que no, se consiguen en una tienda local muy cercana. El proyecto es en un bosque y es importante llevar algunas varias capas extra para las fechas frías. El anfitrión se adaptó a mis necesidades alimenticias y de la otra voluntaria. Llegar al lugar es fácil y el trabajo no fue muy pesado o difícil. Aprendí mucho y volveré.

Esta experiencia fue genial en todos los aspectos: Ale (el anfitrión) mantuvo una comunicación fluida todo el tiempo; el lugar es sumamente cómodo y hermoso; el proyecto es espectacular y aprendí muchísimo más que en mis años de formación sobre huertos y sostenibilidad. Recomiendo totalmente este lugar para realizar voluntariado; además de contribuir con un proyecto sostenible, puedes conocer el bosque cercano que es simplemente increíble.
