The Experience

We're looking for a reliable, easygoing, fun loving person with good social skills who could be part of our team, would share their knowledge about the city with our guests, show them the nightlife and help them socializing and making new friends here but also don't mind doing some daily cleaning. In exchange, you can stay in the center of Budapest and we'd help you get to know the city, become part of a little community and have an epic time.

This was my first time working at a hostel and I definitely chose the best one! It's the perfect place to get to know Budapest while meeting lovely people. Olga is the best host and one of the nicest people I've ever met, so the hostel has a homely atmosphere and attracts like minded clientele. The hours give good time off to explore the city, and the work load is very simple. Olga, Gabor and workers (Chandler and Kyle) give great suggestions on places to visit and are always up for a chat. I spent a month here between travel and could definitely have spent longer, highly recommend!

Olga is a truly amazing, one of a kind person. She radiates like the sun with joy and enthusiasm that is infectious. Her intimate knowledge of Budapest, and her genuine love of all art, culture, people, and places, will inspire you to explore and appreciate Budapest with wholehearted abandon. It is a wonderful city full of food, art, and beauty. The job itself is a piece of cake. It is a small hostel with few beds and cozy common spaces. You will have lots of time to explore and have fun. Thanks for everything! Love, Kyle

I absolutely loved my time at the hostel! This doesn't feel like a hostel more like a cosy flatshare where you really get to meet people, hang out in the common areas together or plan different activities around the city. The owners are wonderful people that make you feel welcome straight away. The work is easy and straightforward and they're always ready to help you or answer any questions you may have. I can definitely recommend volunteering here and I can't wait to be back one day.<3

My time volunteering at the the hostel was amazing. The owners, Olga and Gabor are one of the nicest people I've ever met in my entire life. The whole staff at the the hostel are not just colleagues, they are a family and very welcoming to everyone. The hostel itself is very cozy and rather small, which makes the entire experience of volunteering feeling even more like just staying at a friends place and sharing the chores. I definitely couldn't have asked for a better first volunteering experience. I'm grateful for all the people I've met and all the experiences I made in Budapest.

My experience at the hostel gave me the chance to be accepted into a family of like-minded individuals that I never dreamed would be possible. The cozy environment here gives off the feeling of staying at a friend's apartment and with the hosts Olga & Gabor you will feel like family. Life at the hostel is simple, fun, and extremely inclusive. Budapest is a city filled with things to do and the hostel makes the experience even better. You'll never have to deal with the fear of going out alone or not being invited out. the hostel is a home away from home and so much more!
