The Experience

We have a children's home in Cisnadie, Romania. We live and function as a family. And it includes our volunteers. We expect them to fit in greatly in our family life. Our kids love getting to know people from different places! We need help with house cleaning and with actvities and outtings with our kids. One can also help, in some occasions, with preparing and serving the meals. We strive to ensure our volunteers enjoy the their time with us!

I spent 3 weeks here and surprise, surprise, I didn't want to leave. It's such a beautiful thing that you get to be a part of. Nathan, anca, junior, Clarissa, and vini, have all dedicated their lives to these kids and they've created something truly special. The work is a lot sometimes but also fair, consistent and flexible w choosing shifts. The volunteers have their own lil top floor attic space which is nice. keep in mind the kids are mainly teenage boys and it does take effort and time to break through with many of them. But they are so fun and sweet when u do. Thank u all for everything❤️

It was a beautiful experience! I stayed for almost 3 weeks and would recommend so stay for several weeks, because the experience gets richer with every day you stay there. It also makes more sense with this project and you will create beautiful connections with the people there :) working hours were pretty doable, you will have a lot of time to explore places around , but I experienced that on most days I just wanted to stay at the house and spend a great time with the kids and the staff there, that's what it's really about :) Everybody is so welcoming, warm and respectful, thank you!

This was the best first world packers experience i could have hoped for! Junior, Clarissa and Vinny are so friendly, welcoming and approachable! They are a credit to the children who live here. The children are sweet, respectful and very intelligent! The quarters for the volunteers are cozy, comfortable and private, there's also plenty of opportunity to socialise with the other volunteers. The tasks themselves are simple, and working hours are reasonable, there's plenty of free time to explore the surrounding area of Sibiu also a few local hiking trails. Thanks for the great experience ❤️

I couldn't have wished for a better first WP experience! The people from the home are very welcoming and caring, the kids are friendly and respectful, it really felt like being a part of a big family. Both Cisnadie and Sibiu are beautiful places. I would recommend staying for a longer time, to have time to get closer to the kids and also to explore the town. It was the perfect first experience, I'm really thankful for everything ❤️ Can't wait to go back!

Best experience ever! The staff and kids are super friendly and nice. Working hours are not hard, so you have time to explore and do what you want. You get friends and connections for life. You feel safe and staff makes sure you are okey. Food is delicious. Worth every second spend.
