This was my first experience on Worldpackers and it couldnt be better! The kids are so lovely and fun, the teachers and people from foundation really takes care of you, and this turned my last 3 weeks into a life time experience I will never forget. I was teaching only 2 hours a day during the weekdays and have lots of time to explore Bangkok. You may fell a bit lost when you just arrive cause sometimes there is no one to explain, but just talk to them and they will do their best to help and assist you. Thank you so much for this amazing experience!!! :D
We loved our stay at the Thong Tos foundation, we was a little unsure about things at the start but we had a lovely volunteer show us the ropes and quickly got into the routine. The kids and teachers are great and the hosts are very helpful if you need anything. Would love to come back sometime in the future.
It is a nice place to develop yourself and give back to the community the good things life have given to you. The place it is quite cozy and also the friendly staff. I just wish some more orientation at the beginning, but not that big deal for experienced volunteers.
Be a volunteer in Thong Tos Fundation was the best thing I could do in my life. I highly recommend this experience for everybody. The accommodation is very comfy, you are very free to do your teaching programme, the hours are not too long, the rules are easy to follow, and the kids are amazing. Unfortunately I only stayed 2 weeks, but if I had more time definitely I would get more weeks.
Initially I faced some problems with getting responses and confirmations however once I got there everything fell into place and I really enjoyed my time at the foundation. I was teaching in a nursery filled with absolutely lovely kids eager to learn and had no trouble whatsoever
The administration definitely needs better communication and organisation but overall I'm more than satisfied with my experience :)
Ms Dang is the person to look for once you get to Bangkok.
I had an amazing time teaching english in a budhist school! It was only 2 hours of teaching per day, and we had the weekends off. Lunch was included everyday we had classes and the food was very good. The children were between 5 and 12 years old, in some classes they had English books so it was easier to follow and to know their level. But in some classes, especially with the younger ones, it was harder to make them pay attention and we didn't had anything to follow. The host is super helpful but I wish they had put photos of the foundation before. It is a very simple place, but enought. :)
