The Experience

Hello, I welcome volunteers who enjoy or want to learn how to work with the land in the agroforestry system, as well as help with repairs to the facilities and cleaning. There are beautiful trails in the mountains and waterfalls in the rural area of Aiuruoca-MG. The volunteer will stay in a single chalet (suite) with an equipped kitchen, 10 meters from the main house.

Maria Regina is a very wise person, and it was very enriching to learn gardening techniques, how to make concrete, and earth paint!
The work was quite easygoing; the instructions were clear, and Maria Regina was always available to answer questions and help.
Breakfast was well served and prepared with a lot of care; it was enough to get through the morning peacefully!
Unfortunately, I couldn't do hikes with Maria Regina because the weather didn't cooperate, but for anyone who has the opportunity, I hope you make the most of it!

The Montanhismo project is an amazing place among the mountains of southern Minas. The host Maria is very helpful and taught me to deal with the land in a way I didn't know, and she makes excellent cakes. The volunteering was rich in learning experiences. We also did some hikes in the region. I highly recommend it.

Very grateful for your calm presence and your constant willingness to help. I was happy that you got to try out the mezzanine in the chalet.

The experience at the mountain house was excellent; the tasks to be carried out were in the garden and some small repairs on the site! Maria Regina is an excellent person, kind, attentive and willing to share her wisdom! I recommend visiting the place! Thank you mountain house, thank you Maria Regina!

The experience at the project was truly a gift; we felt a sense of home and peace that will stay with us forever in our memories. Maria Regina is an amazing woman — wise, generous, she prepares the most delicious breakfast and takes us on the most beautiful hikes in Airuroca! We had a wonderful stay and gained a friend for life.
