The Experience

Hello everyone, We're currently looking for volunteers in Japan who would like to help us while staying at our guesthouse for free. We need your help. If you've been wanting to go sightseeing around Osaka and Kyoto, this is a perfect place for you. [ALTs are welcome too.] We also provided opportunities and training for those who want to stay in Japan long term. Most of our former residents made friends and settled down somewhere in Japan.

Osaka English House has a fun and friendly atmosphere, and is a good opportunity to chat to Japanese people hoping to practise their English. The work, consisting of cleaning, is easy and the hours are respected. The location is great - you can explore both Osaka and Kyoto very easily! The house is quite quiet at the moment due to Covid, which is to be expected, but I would love to come back in future when the situation has improved!

Osaka English House is a great experience I personally felt at home outside of home. All the guest are amazing people to meet and they all have great attitude. Hosts are amazing they really allowed you to get involved with the english teaching/practicing activities and are open and supportive to any iniciative. Thanks Katie, Arata, Bill and Johnson for the great organization at the place. The tasks here are very fair and enjoyable. Hirakata city is a great pleace to meet the daily Japanese lifestyle.

I stayed in OEH for 3 weeks and absolutely had the best time. This was my first solo trip and I'm so glad I chose Japan. My host Arata san was very kind and welcoming, and she was also accommodating after the fact that I had to cut my supposed 1 month trip short because of the coronavirus so I had to go back home. My housemates were very nice and I definitely gained new friends. The everyday tasks were really easy, and I had a lot of free time to discover places like Kyoto and Nara, and the rest of Hirakata as well. I hope I can come back again one day!

I had a great time at OEH. The location is very convenient, between Osaka and Kyoto. The other volunteers and residents were amazing. I had a lot of fun teaching the English lessons. It was one of the best volunteering experiences that I've had!
