The Experience

We are looking for highly social volunteers to help with reception tasks, some cleaning, and events. You will spend a lot of time interacting with guests to create a warm, fun, and welcoming atmosphere. This can look like spending the evening playing board games with guests, chatting up shy travelers , or selling drinks to a busy crowd. People come to hostels in search of friendship and we would love your help in making sure they find it.

The hostel is a wonderful place and I had a great time volunteering there. The hosts as well as the guests were so nice, and it felt easy talking to new people all the time. The work is pretty straightforward and Gjirokastër is absolutely stunning. Would recommend:)

Best two months ever! By far my favourite volunteering experience I had by far! Woulter and Brenna were so welcoming, and took very good care of us from providing us with fresh groceries and letting us come on an off road trip with them. The work is very straight forward and there's a lot to keep you occupied here in Gjirokaster. Woulter and Brenna are very invested in the hostel and the guests and connects with every single person. If you have the opportunity to either volunteer or even just visit here, please do it!! Best hostel I've experienced! Woulter, Brenna, Kristina, Marlo and Claudio, Thank you!

I had a great experience volunteering at the hostel! Walter and Brenna are great hosts and incredibly helpful. They are also very welcoming, they really make you feel at home. The work is very straightforward and easy and it is a great social environment with a good amount of down time. The local staff are so kind. It was my first World Packers experience and it was definitely amazing, I would 100% recommend.

This was honestly the best worldpackers I've ever done! The owners of the hostel are super fun and nice the work is really easy and fun. Your hours are planned and leave more then enough room to explore the beautiful the hostel of Gjirokaster and it's surroundings I highly recommend it!
