The Experience

There are two components : 1st is the daily cleaning of our guest kitchen.(cleaning the surfaces regularly, taking out the garbage, emptying the dishwasher or washing leftover dishes, cleaning the shelves and refrigerator, cleaning up various items, wiping down the tables and mopping the floor). Then there are social acitivities like pub quizzes, beer tastings, cooking together that we'd like you to organise (with our help of course).

I loved volunteering at the hostel! I got to know the incredible staff there and met tons of locals. The included breakfast was a huge plus on a backpacker budget, and the facilities at the hostel are excellent and very comfortable. Meli is an amazing manager and friend! I hope to go back again in the future, it truly is a special place.

This was my first volunteer experience in a hostel, and it was spectacular! The tasks are easy and so much fun; I especially loved the karaoke nights and chatting with the guests. The whole team was incredibly kind and friendly. The atmosphere in both the hostel and the city is full of good energy and great people. A wonderful first volunteer experience, looking forward to coming back!

I thought this experience was great! However I was originally supposed to plan social activities and this never happened. Also the tasks I was supposed to complete were kind of up in the air each day and it could be frustrating because I could be asked to do something late in the afternoon when I thought I was done. The hostel was great and enjoyed the free breakfast. I would recommend this experience if you are a little more carefree and don't need structure to your day as much.

Truly an amazing place! I had an absolute incredible experience and really didn't want it to end! The hostel has a great environment, cozy and welcoming, and the whole is staff is very friendly and makes you feel part of the family. Michael has a big warm heart and is fair and flexible, really a great boss. The chores are simple and easy to do leaving enough time to explore the city and its surroundings, but make yourself available and help whenever possible so you can contribute more to this is wonderful place! Thank you for the opportunity!
