It was my first volunteering experience and I couldn't have chosen a better place to start. The workload is fair and the tasks are well-defined, leaving enough free time. Jennifer and all the staff members are super welcoming and helpful. The hostel is spacious, and I especially loved the terrace—it was the ideal spot to chat and hang out. Faro isn't a very big town, but it's the perfect starting point for exploring the Algarve or relaxing on one of its beaches. I truly loved staying here, thank you the hostel fam :)

I can't recommend the hostel enough! As my first experience volunteering in a hostel, It couldn't have been more ideal. Jennifer and the team became family, helping me feel a part of Faro. The hostel is situated in a characterful old building, but the facilities are modern and well looked after. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to explore Faro and the wider Algarve. I was able to use my days off to travel all over Portugal. The work is varied and helped me learn a variety of skills I previously didn't have. I wouldn't hesitate to return in the future!

I had an amazing experience at the hostel!! Very friendly people, i have spent time with so friendly other volunteers, the local staff members and Jennifer know the region very good which is very useful to spend some good time around. The volunteers work 25 hours a week with at least 2 days off, this is perfect to spend time on activities or leaving in another city for a few days. Many thanks to Jennifer and all the staff members for receiving me! Had a wonderful time 🫶

I had the best time at the hostel. Everyone (staff and other volunteers) was sooo friendly, you really become a family and the amount of work was fair. The owner Jennifer was extremely nice, caring and very flexible with the schedule when my friend visited. There's a beach nearby, nice staff room, very clean and social hostel. It was a great feeling to work there, talk to guests, explore the area and there are nice places to visit at the Algarve, beaches and small towns. 10/10 stay, I really fell in love with portugal, would recommend this volunteering project to everyone. Thanks the hostel famđź’—
