The Experience

We’re looking for social and outgoing people looking to help build a community that is welcoming for everyone. We never ask volunteers to cook or clean guest rooms/bathrooms. Our primary focus is to create an environment where guests have fun parties or events to attend every night and a positive environment to chill in every day.

My experience at Mr the hostel has been so amazing, I've made the best of friends and have had so much fun. The work is good and the managers and owners really care about you and your experience here. Lake Atitlan is so beautiful and the hostel is in a great location, near the bars and restaurants. You can visit the other towns and stay for free at the sister hostels which is fab. If you like to the hostel, want to make new friends and want a new place to feel like home for a while then I couldn't recommend the hostel enough! You won't regret :)

My experience at the hostel was fantastic. The other volunteers were so much fun, the guests were great, and the staff, managers and owners really cared about us and made sure we were having a great time. I showed up with basically no bartending experience, but other volunteers were happy to teach me and help me out. The hours are great, the work is fun, and they'll do their best to give you your preferred shifts. It's a great place to the hostel, or just to hang out around the lake, meet friends and see the town. Thanks for the memories guys, I'll be back one day!

Living here was literally traumatizing. the staff was beyond clicky and rude, the guests even though backpackers were entitledddd and douchey. This is not no normal the hostel.. it's hard drugs, heavy drinking and debauchery. Rafeek was chill , the work was easy even though shifts are 8 hours and the boat the hostel was 👌🏾 but other than that….

I had a great time at the hostelMullet's the hostel. I did have to leave a week early because getting sleep here was quite difficult for me due to the accommodation provided. I think I came during a transition period so it made sense why things sort of felt off at times. Our manager is awesome and so are the owners. If you are looking to the hostel a lot, this is the place for you!
