The Experience

As a housekeeping volunteer you’ll be at the forefront of our operations as part of the housekeeping team you’ll help to maintain the highest possible standards of cleanliness for our residents. As a dining room volunteer you'll be serving meals to our residents, cleaning the dining room and washing up. As a kitchen assistant you'll be helping the chef with deliveries, some meal prepping, cleaning and general duties.

This was my first experience as a volunteer and I'm not disappointed. The work is really uncomplicated and the schedules are respected. The accommodation is comfortable and on top of that we eat well (there are always vegetarian options). The hostel is superbly located. We work as a team and live in shared accommodationof course, which really helps us to bond and meet people from all over the world. It was a great experience, I recommend it.

It was a good experience, even with work I managed to enjoy the city a lot. I worked on dinner for a while and there were days when we needed to stay longer than expected. Then I worked on breakfast and it was calmer. The location of the hostel is great, there are bus stops, metro station, park, supermarkets and pharmacy very close by.

I had accommodation and three meals a day. Free internet and I was treated very well by the residents, employees and other volunteers at the hostel. I made many friends. I generally liked the facilities and the place. I was able to have contact with other cultures, get to know London, improve my English a little and have fun. I also learned new skills and commitments by offering my serious and punctual work throughout my time as a volunteer. I hope one day maybe I'll come back =)

During my volunteering I was in charge of making breakfast, which mainly consisted in boiling eggs, refilling things, doing the dishes and cleaning. It was really cool being here because the schedule we agreed on was followed and because it was in the morning I had practically all the afternoon and evening free ~ Jacob is an amazing host who is easygoing and takes time to listen and help in anything you need ✨ Overl it was a really good experience and I was happy of being able to be here as my first experience.
