I am so grateful to have had one of the best experiences of my two weeks at the project Family House. The family are incredibly kind, humble, cheerful, and welcoming. I spent my time harvesting potatoes and vegetables, planting seeds, and tilling the soil. I ate the best Nepalese food and learned a lot about the local culture and way of life. My work schedule fit perfectly with my free time. We started at 9:00, had toast and delicious tea for breakfast, and then spent two hours harvesting potatoes. I also had the opportunity to cycle downtown and play with the children. I am very grateful, Namaste

I came with my partner for two weeks. We had a really good time with the kids, family and the small farming tasks that we were given!

I had a nice stay with the project and her family. I got welcomed into the family home. There is also an orphanage but at the time there were no kids. I ate delicious homemade food, went to visit the school, and was able to participate in local celebrations. Although I did not feel like I could contribute much and I was not sure of my tasks. But the project told me that there would be more work to do on the farm. Due to personal reasons I left after 2 days so my experience is maybe not long enough to illustrate how volunteering can be here. But overall I enjoyed it!
