It is a really funny and fancy farm where we can learn various things. It is located in a quiet place and we can rest peacefully inside the farm. Moreover Kalvin is a very funny dog to play with along the day haha Thanks for sharing your knowledge Allan

Thank you, and it was clarified why you didn't come to say goodbye; you thought I was too busy talking, and while that's true, I would have said goodbye to you as I always do with everyone. Best regards and good luck on your trip.

Very nice host. Work is pretty fun and flexible with what you want to do and what has to be done. The accommodation is very basic but has everything you need. Food is also just the basics so sometimes a trip to the grocery story isn't a bad idea. Overall really would recommend this place!

I Had a lovely time in the project! The host is very friendly and knows what he's doing and talking about, learned a lot about Uruguays culture, along with a self-sustainable life style. The place is gorgeous to walk around and the dogs WILL make you fall in love with them!! Lovely couple cuddly cats as well. Shout out to my mate Umut, who helped me figure out the daily activities and how to get in to/ from town (not difficult) etc etc. You're a legend buddy!! If you like cooking, you're in for a treat with all the glorious vegetables, herbs and leaves growing in the gardens. Cheers!

The project is a wonderful place with many opportunities to learn and experience sustainable living processes and techniques. Allen was bery busy but always made time to visit with and help the volunteers. We had volunteers from 7 countries in 3weeks, lots of international representation!!

Allan is a wonderful host. Although he wasn't around too much I had a lovely time at the project and really connected with the other volunteers. It's a great way to get to know the surroundings of Montevideo as well as learning about life on a permaculture farm. I learned a lot about gardening and construction and acquired a lot of skills during the two weeks of my stay.

We had a good time at the project. We did not meet Allan often and couldn't talk that much with him, because our spanish is beginner level, but he seems like a nice guy. The other volunteers were awesome and we cooked for each other often which was nice. Allan gave us a good amount if food, like dried goods, to cook for ourselves.

Kind hosts who deeply care about earth & teaching. I hoped to learn about hydro/aeroponics but my trip was cut short, though I'm unsure if I would have learned it if I stayed the full week. The 3 days I worked, I planted seeds, weeded & hammered nails in the wall I left early due to unsanitary conditions with mice in the kitchen (kept utensils in fridge so they don't access them, poop on dishes and stove) and in my bed (my last night, a mouse started to crawl on my head, left poop by my head) The home should be deep cleaned & some things replaced incl. ripped up chairs and dirty pillows

Nicole's opinion leaves me quite astonished. First of all, it should be noted that in this place you learn many things; I would say that in three days it is impossible for someone to learn or to say that they do not learn what they came exclusively to learn. In fact, she in those three days already mentions at least three things she learned, but in a project of this kind we suggest staying at least two weeks, although I know that in those two weeks it will be difficult for them to learn about syntropy, aeroponics, aquaponics, hydroponics, organic gardening, and bioconstruction, which is why we rotate tasks day by day so that they learn as much as possible. In her case she was involved with the topic of syntropy (although she says she only planted seeds), she worked with the new organic garden (although she says she only pulled out grass), and she was starting to build the framework that will sustain a beautiful clay mural with many representations of Uruguayan culture such as drums, guitar, etc., which she summarizes by saying that she only hammered nails; the truth does not leave me with a good impression of her. We had shown her the final product (another mural we have) and now she was starting to make a new one, but she says that all she did was hammer nails into a wall. Regarding cleanliness, it is something we constantly work on, and the house-school is the volunteers' home, and we are constantly asking them to clean it, which is one of the guidelines of the regulation that we send and that several people do not comply with. It is logical that if they leave food on dishes and do not clean while in a field there will be the possibility of mice getting in, and that is one of the things we put on the signs for everyone to read. I hope that future volunteers can understand that it is they who must take care of the place where they are, as well as the hygiene of the things they use, because this is not a hotel; indeed, we do not charge and we do not have staff to clean what they soil. I think she should opt for another way to travel, perhaps by staying in hotels and taking courses that interest her and where they provide all the information she requires paying for it, of course.

It was a great experience! I've learned about taking care of an eco farm and Allan leave to try things if you ask and show you are capable of. Allan is a nice guy and took the time to explain me the things in Spanish even when he need to repeat or talk more slowly :)

The chaos of the city has ended; the project is a peaceful place, full of nature, with friendly people to share with and discover permaculture; it was incredible to be able to eat all kinds of fresh and completely organic vegetables, as well as learn to have them in my own home in the future.

El proyeto is a great place to meet people, here you can learn a variety of things, you can discover new tastes, try foods you never thought you would try, discover a different way of how you want to live and what you want to achieve. Allan is the best, every day he teaches something new, even the basics you can think of, he always has more ideas to keep building el proyeto and that each day would get a little better. Now in the future I would like to have my own organic garden, and it's something I hadn't thought about before that I could do. Super recommended to come, meet, and learn!
