The project is a wonderful place with many opportunities to learn and experience sustainable living processes and techniques. Allen was bery busy but always made time to visit with and help the volunteers. We had volunteers from 7 countries in 3weeks, lots of international representation!!

Allan is a wonderful host. Although he wasn't around too much I had a lovely time at the project and really connected with the other volunteers. It's a great way to get to know the surroundings of Montevideo as well as learning about life on a permaculture farm. I learned a lot about gardening and construction and acquired a lot of skills during the two weeks of my stay.

We had a good time at the project. We did not meet Allan often and couldn't talk that much with him, because our spanish is beginner level, but he seems like a nice guy. The other volunteers were awesome and we cooked for each other often which was nice. Allan gave us a good amount if food, like dried goods, to cook for ourselves.

Kind hosts who deeply care about earth & teaching. I hoped to learn about hydro/aeroponics but my trip was cut short, though I'm unsure if I would have learned it if I stayed the full week. The 3 days I worked, I planted seeds, weeded & hammered nails in the wall I left early due to unsanitary conditions with mice in the kitchen (kept utensils in fridge so they don't access them, poop on dishes and stove) and in my bed (my last night, a mouse started to crawl on my head, left poop by my head) The home should be deep cleaned & some things replaced incl. ripped up chairs and dirty pillows

It was a great experience! I've learned about taking care of an eco farm and Allan leave to try things if you ask and show you are capable of. Allan is a nice guy and took the time to explain me the things in Spanish even when he need to repeat or talk more slowly :)
