I helped with serving breakfast, and the tasks were easy and enjoyable. I really liked spending time with Linei, she is a wonderful person and made the experience even better. After finishing the shift, I had the whole day free, and the hostel offers daily activities, which is great.
The only downside was that laundry was listed as free on Worldpackers, but I was asked to pay for it (with a small discount). Overall, it was a good experience

The hostel is located in the heart of cartagena, it's a great place to meet people and chill while you get to know the city. Schedules were very clear and working hours were always respected as planned. It was great having the chance to colaborate with Yeris the person in charge of the kitchen, she is very fun and communicative. Dorms offer a nice private space for every guest which is something I appreciated.

Overall this was a great experience, the guests and staff were lovely and supportive, and I had a good time. However, the manager was not respectful in her communication, which made my work stressful. She sent me passive aggressive messages of sad face emojis if something wasn't done exactly to her liking, rolled her eyes at me, and would shout at me in the middle of an activity, making the atmosphere tense for guests too. She frequently interrupted conversations I was having with guests to shout at me about activities.
Also- no bar discounts and you are put in a 14 bed dorm

It was a great experience! As a party promoter, you end up having lots of fun and meeting new people every day. The activities start at 8pm and you’re supposed to come 2 hours before.
The place is beautiful and vibey; the rooms are designed in a way that you have a lot of privacy in your capsule. Lots of sunshine and a great terrace to chill. The storage system has some room for improvement, as well as the kitchen. Location 10/10!
Energy-wise, it was more of a work exchange rather than volunteering; you’re literally an employee who is also responsible for getting people to write reviews.

It was quite a lovely experience, I had so much fun, made plenty of friends, this was my 1st volunteering experience and I totally recommend it for starting, I was able to promote everyday events and learn about the logistics that these require of, I was able to draw with chalks everyday activities plus you get to experience a really intense night life as you go to or participate in many of these events for free, like Pub Crawl night or making a cocktail which it was really fun and educative as well as for dance classes, plus everyone in the staff took care of me in the whole learning process
