I really enjoyed it. The hostel was super laid-back and the work was really easy. It gives you a lot of time to explore not only tulum but many cities around.

My stay at the hostel was ok. I met some great people, the work was chilled. The shifts gave me lots of time to explore Tulum. Maintenance at the hostel is a problem; the ceiling is peeling off the wall in the dorm, the bike broke on me in the middle of the jungle twice, the shower curtains are mouldy. The hot water rarely works. I felt there was a lack of respect for privacy. I was working remotely (off shift from volunteering) on a meeting in my bed with the curtain shut & the manager came in repeatedly calling my name. My job had bad things to say about this to me.

The hostel is very small and feels like home. However, because it is very small, you don't get to connect with a lot of people. The activities are really cleaning and tidying up the whole hostel, because they don't have other staff for that. Although the tasks are "small", maybe is not the most convenient if you are looking for fun. Leo, was nice but is very demanding and negatively pointed out small mistakes even thought I really put a lot of effort into making the hostel look nice, clean and tidy but no matter how much effort I put Leo always pointed out something wrong, wasdisappointed.

I loved my stay at the hostel in Tulum! Due to low season, there were almost no guests, so the work was very relaxed and I had enough time to explore Tulum. The bar/restaurant that belongs to the place made it very easy to connect with guests and also the guys that work there, so I got to know lots of welcoming and lovely locals which I truly loved! The hostel itself needs a bit more love though, there is a lot of potential as it is a very pretty area but some things (e. g. bathrooms) could be improved in order to create an even more enjoyable experience for both volunteers and guests.

This was my first volunteering and it was an amazing experience, the hostel is small and cozy, very quiet during the day and has a great location, the hosts are very responsive and are in constant communication although is through messages because they are not there at the moment, the volunteer work was good, some of the tasks were serving the breakfast, cleaning and shopping. I really enjoyed this experience and I would recommend it :)
