The Experience

Your daily tasks will allow you to collaborate with the care of animals in grazing and organic farming. We are part of Ecological Blue Flag so we like to teach and also tell us their experiences, it is also important to keep the facilities clean and contribute to food preparation. We like a healthy and peaceful environment free of drugs and alcohol. We receive volunteers with a lot of energy and a desire to learn.

My experience at Finca Mirador the project was adorable. From the moment you arrive, you can see how much love Yeilin and her family put into the animals, the farm, and their natural environment. The tasks are easy and chill, with just a few hours of work in the late morning, and the afternoons are free to go down town or enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The Meals prepared are local, healthy and definitely delicious. I learned so much about Ticos and the permacultur project, and I'm truly grateful to have met such passionate and nice people and have discovered a little bit more about this topic.

I had a wonderful experience at Shirley, Yeilin and Maria's place. I felt very welcomed, they cared so much about how I was feeling. Meals were delicious, the work was nice and not too hard and I've learnt a lot. They are really spiritual women and the conversations were always so interesting. Thanks you so much!

Yeilin & Maria are Shirley's daughters, their ecofarm is on a mountain slope totally immersed in nature, they have Hens and Goats, Dogs &Cat, the trio team is an absolute delight to practice all mannerisms straight from the heart. Every single action and conversation were all about working your heart chakra. We practiced Meditation and Yoga to start our day, lots of exchange about spirituality and essence of life, learning Spanish was fun and positive. Animal care & Nature care were part of the jobs, no time pressure whatsoever, more relaxed and intone with the environment. Pura Vida!

Absolutely loved my time with Shirley and Yeilen on their family farm. I learnt so much about the local culture, environmental impact, sustainability and farming in Costa Rica. I was the only volunteer during my stay, but never felt alone with the company of Shirley and Yeilen. Also some good local hikes around near waterfalls and jungle. Would recommend anyone wanting to learn, connect with nature and meet/ work with great empowering woman.
