For first time was very nice place for staying and volunteering but after next days i got robbed several times for small amount of money (hiding my wallet but always in some time i wasn't in room and other volunteers took my money even we got proof but management didn't act right and i needed to leave earlier )

Nos ocorreu pela primeira vez, esse tipo de situação. Ao qual Furkan só nos foi avisar, quando diz ter acontecido pela 4° vez. Infelizmente é a verdade contra de todos os demais da equipe que teve acesso ao quarto. E jamais poderíamos acusar alguém de roubo, diante não ter provas. Isso é grave e cabível processo. Então a melhor decisão foi tomada, que fora encerrar com todos que não tinha datas. Mas isso não foi suficiente para Furkan, e lamentamos não atender sua expectativa ou que gostaria que fizéssemos, pois não estava dentro das nossas possibilidades. Ele decidiu ir embora antes da data marcada, compreendemos sua decisão, e esperávamos que ele entendesse a nossa!

The experience of volunteering at HBB was incredible! The hostel space is cozy and comfortable, the tasks and schedule are orginized and clear,the people in the hostel are wonderful! The staff, Andressa, German and volunteers create a family atmosphere, help each other, are always open and friendly. I met friends here with whom I want to keep in touch for a long time to come. Vila Madalena area is full of bars, quite safe. During the month of working here at the reception I improved my Portuguese a lot and used a lot of English. I am grateful to everyone who welcomed me into the place ☺️ 🙏🏻

I had an amazing time at HBB— such a special, enjoyable chapter of my life! The hours were extremely flexible and the work easy. The management, andressa and German, are incredible people. I got to improve my Portuguese *so* much and help others with their English! We had so much fun, especially volunteering with them during the carnaval. I look forward to returning! My only note for future volunteers would be that you will still have to purchase your own food, as only a basket of basics (oil, pasta, eggs) is provided. Muito Obrigada HBB!
