The Experience
Have you ever wanted to take a break from your current life, experience Puerto Escondido, and live and breathe a growing hostel project? As a Human Leader, you will have the opportunity to spend 5 - 8 weeks staying in one of our hostels on the Oaxacan coast. In return, you will be in charge of making our guests have a great time, be that through leading activities, helping out at the reception, or simply cotorreando! Learn how to be calm.

- Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

I worked and lived in the hostel for 7 weeks. The hostel is the best I ever visited in my life: it's social, alive, in a great (and more local) location, has nice owners and a good team. I enjoyed every day of my stay and the time passed to quick. I will certainly come back to the hostel Escondido and the hostel in the future! Work is nice, good for practicing Spanish and social. The weekly activity you have to organise is a great way to involve guests in things you like to do. I would for sure recommend this place to volunteer in the hostel!

Volunteering in the hostel was amazing! The team, the location, the vibes and the volunteering itself have been memorable. What I like the most about volunteering here was the people and the vibes! Seriously, everybody is very nice and easy going, and the hostel Escondido's vibes are truly energizing, too. Tasks were easy and funny, so the volunteering was a great experience by itself, too. I truly recommend volunteering in the hostel if you are looking for meeting international people, open your mind, and enjoy the moment!

Wow the hostel, thank you so much for the experience. Firstly the hostel is beautiful, the location is awesome being near the smaller beaches and being immersed more in the central city with the locals. The hostel activities were always fun, both a mix of wholesome and party - salsa, movie nights, sunset picnics, themed parties. You had lots of encouragement and freedom to explore your creative pursuits. Personally I grew in my photography because of the hostel and Carlos for giving me opportunities aswell. Most of all the best part is the people I worked with and the memories I made ❤️

I really loved my stay at the hostel, the hostel is such a beautiful hostel with a lot of spaces to chill and make friends. With the other volunteers we quickly became one family ❤️😊 Laura is such a great and empathetic manager that always tries to do the best for the volunteers and the hostel. The beaches are so nice and if you like waves it is perfect for you. 100% recommend!!!
