Our hostel is located in the central of Izu Peninsula, "Shuzenji", well known as one of the famous and historical onsen (hot spring). Cleaning is mainly required. However, you're interested in reception, we'd be happy with your offer, which benefits you great Japanese practice! 【We're sorry that one of my properties is no longer available to offer you. Incredible experience!!!, I enjoyed every moment of being in this project because it gave me the opportunity to meet wonderful people (staff, volunteers, neightbors, hosts), I was able to visit surprising natural places meanly and I was relaxed the entire time, onsen helped me with this too. The food and desserts are amazing and all the people around are really friendly. I learned a lot of japanese culture and I love it. Thank you all,,, Ryohey, Jamie and Haru for sharing a small part of YOU.

My time at the hostel has been unforgettable! Shuzenji Onsen was a wonderful quiet town with its misty mountains, foot onsen by the river, and warm, welcoming locals. The work was light—less than 4 hours per day—leaving plenty of time to explore the peninsula, the beautiful rice and wasabi fields, savor matcha in cozy cafe, and spend time with fellow volunteers (shoutout to Taniaui and Valeui ;). I'll miss the quirky chats with the ladies at the onsen, the yoga session with Haru, and the dinner with Ryohey, Jamie, and the team. Thank you for everything, and until we meet again!

Before going to Japan I was looking for some peace and stability in my life, I immediately realised since the first day that Shuzenji were the perfect place for me. It's all about nature, silence and real life. Ryohey and Jamie completed this harmony with their pure kindness and care. I feel grateful for this amazing adventure and and I highly recommend to all the volunteers around the world to come here and enjoy this lovely place. It's been too short but I'll come back as I said! Ciao ciao Hey and Jamie alla prossima! Tornerò per vedere I tuoi bimbi cresciuti che parleranno 100 lingue! Hahah

I really enjoyed my time in the hostel! Shuzenji Onsen is a lovely little town which feels peaceful and yet lively, as there are always plenty of tourists passing through. You can take buses and trains to other parts of the peninsula, allowing for lots of exploration. Ryohey and Jamie are very friendly, patient, and accommodating, and make a large effort to help when the hostel gets busy. The work itself is manageable, and can range anywhere from 1.5-3 hours. The accommodation I stayed in was a house which I found suitable for a month stay. Thanks again guys! I'm missing it already!

I am so thankful that I was able to volunteer at the hostel. I don't think it could have been any better. I stayed in a house with the other volunteer (Hi Caitlin) and we immediately became friends and I had an awesome time with her! The shifts were simple (but physically draining sometimes). However, we finished work in less than 2.5 hours most days, so there was enough time to explore! Ryohey and Jaime are awesome people, and they made sure to help on busy days. On the last day, we (me, the other volunteer, Jamie, and some locals) went to a Karaoke and it was so much fun!!
