I had a wonderful time at Jungle Drake. The surrounding environment is amazing and there are lots of great places to hang out after work. I enjoyed my work at the school however found it challenging as i'm not fluent in Spanish. You are left in the classroom alone with no supervision or guidance on what to teach which was difficult with no previous teaching English experience. The children are not the kindest when they know you don't have the best Spanish. Regarding the hosts, they are very strict on meal times and guest hours, and unwilling to be flexible which was disappointing and a shame.

Volunteering in Drake's jungle was an incredible experience. I enjoyed my stay and the meaningful work we did, which provided a great learning opportunity. Getting out of my comfort zone made me feel like I was making a real impact. Additionally, I met wonderful people and learned about the beautiful culture of Costa Rica. I recommend this volunteer trip ! Thanks to the family for having me and for cooking tasty meals ! :))

This was truly an amazing experience. I taught English at the school. The children are so sweet, I'm gonna miss them a lot. The other volunteers and the host family were also super nice.

If you go with an open mindset looking to be close to nature and meet international people, then this is going to be an incredible experience. You live in direct contact with nature and every day see new flora and fauna. You get to wake up with bird sounds and go to beautiful beaches everyday with fun people. The trip also feels worthwhile because you get to contribute to the community where I for example helped by teaching English. This interaction also allowed me to make friendships with the locals. Overall great experience which I recommend to all.
