Had two great weeks at the project! It's a nice place to lean back and relax while connecting with nature. Carlos and his parents are so welcoming, and want you to have the best stay possible. You also get to try lots of homemade typical colombian food, which is a big plus! I will say that I would recommend knowing some basic spanish before coming here, as the family and the community around only speak spanish. However Carlos speaks some english, and you can always just use Google Translate. Overall a great experience!

Carlos and his family are so kind!
We stayed here two weeks, the work was definitely hard, but 100% worth it. By volunteering here you will truly see Colombian culture and feel welcomed into these guys’ home. I recommend for any traveller. Whether that is solo or in a couple!

We had a truly amazing experience at the project. Carlos and his family are so welcoming and hospitable and were super patient with our terrible Spanish skills. The work can be hard at times but you are rewarded with delicious home cooked meals and the most beautiful place to relax. It is only a 50 minute walk into town along quiet country trails with regular buses back making grocery shopping or going out for dinner easy, and Ubala was easy to get to from Bogota. I'd reccomend this opportunity to anyone solo or partners the family are super welcoming and safe 😊

The project are just a beautiful place inhabited by loving people and beautiful animals (dogs and cats)! I can highly recommend people to come here and feel the nature. Carlos and his parents Gladyz and Pedro are living and expanding their homestay with campsites and breathtaking views - you should come and help them. The work can be physical but it's rewarding and you can always contribute with own ideas :)
