I left after two days because I had found a better opportunity and the host became insulting and aggressive towards me. When I came there was no products to clean with, we were not introduced to the work/how it should be done. He doesn't speak any English and doesn't bother to try communicating. There was some sketchy situations with the other volunteer which was another reason I felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave..

I do not recommend Selina to anyone. There is no commitment to the job, she did not want to perform the requested tasks, she treats guests with mockery and creates conflict among the volunteers.

If you like the beach and want to experience life by the ocean, it's your place to stay. Cabo Frio is in a great location with lots of opportunities to travel around for sighseeing. Everyone at the hostel is kind, friendly and flexible and will help in any way they can. It's also a great opportunity to enjoy watersports during the day and in the evening - magical sunsets.

The hostel is super well located, very central and two blocks from the beach. The tasks are calm and manageable, the vibe is relaxed and the facilities are very good. Pablo is a great guy, always in a good mood, and I am very grateful that he also gave me space to display and sell my crafts. No doubt, a place I would recommend and would return to.

I stayed 18 days at the hostel and Paulo has been a great host. He is a really calm, polite, and big-hearted person. It was a wonderful experience. The hostel is a real home, which hosts a big family and incredible people. Thank you, Paulo, for being so kind to us. We will always remember you with much affection and we hope to return. See you soon!

We had a very nice experience. Paulo is super flexible and friendly. We didn't communicate much because we didn't speak much Portuguese, but the times we spoke were very pleasant and he was always attentive to make sure we were well and comfortable. During our stay we really enjoyed the beach and the sea, which was exactly what we were looking for. The hostel is very quiet, but oriented toward older people, so there weren't many young travelers, but everyone was very respectful of us. The facilities were fine and the tasks were simple.
