I spent two weeks at the Center, where I felt welcome and relaxed; everyone is very kind, and the tasks ranging from cleaning to maintenance were varied. The workday doesn't feel heavy thanks to the breaks they have. I hope to return to the Center someday! :) Thank you very much for everything!

I had an amazing stay! Everyone was very kind and offered insightful conversation and wisdom. The food was home cooked and delicious, all vegetarian or vegan. Hours are long but fair, with a total of 2 hours of break time in between your shift. There's a train station a 30 minute walk away, so with connections it is possible to make it to Berlin on your days off without a car. Overall I enjoyed :)

Tharpa Land is a community of compassionate practitioners of the New the Center Tradition. It's set in a beautiful place and managed by beautiful people. I would recommend it for anyone looking to make meaningful connections, especially those interested in learning about this school of Tibetan Buddhism.

I had a really nice stay here. Everyone is friendly and sweet and I felt very welcome. The work was exactly what we agreed on and the hours were always respected. There are a lot of interesting and nice people who live there. We were only 2/3 volunteers at a time and it was very quiet at the castle. Work was mostly maintainance and helping in the cafe. I would recommend staying here if you are interested in the Center and buddhist practices :-)

The Center was a really wonderful and fulfilling experience for the mind and the heart. The silence that you experience on the surrounding forest and lake is really healing. Also the Center community are friendly and welcoming, you can participate on the Center classes they have and meet amazing people during your stay. (:
