Per day
Volunteers contribute €60 per day, to cover maintenance and financing of our organisation. This covers facilitation, utility costs & rent for the research base, breakfast & lunch for the volunteers, a living wage for our employees as well as transportation to the field whenever needed. We are not government funded or aided, and although we try to keep costs to a minimum, this fee is what enables us to keep going.

Marina, Yiannos, Io and Andrianos were all so welcoming and made the experience very enjoyable. I felt as though I really got to contribute to the project's goals with my work and loved the hike we went on too. Syros is also such a beautiful place to work and I got to spend my evenings walking around the island and swimming in the sea (even though the weather got a bit too cold for that at the end!) I had a really great time and would love to be back one day. Thank you ❤️

My first Worldpackers experience at the project was beyond incredible. The individuals there were very welcoming and accommodating, and it truly felt like a home away from home. the project is wonderful in terms of creating social awareness and environmental protection, and the work I completed was fulfilling and enjoyable. I truly could not recommend volunteering at the project more, and I could not have asked for a better experience :)

I had a wonderful experience at the project. The workload was reasonable and flexible, leaving plenty of time to enjoy the island and connect with other international travelers—I made great friends during my stay. Syros is quieter in September, but the hosts encouraged weekend island-hopping, which was a fantastic way to see more of Greece. Lito and Marina were present every day, attentive to every need, and made us feel truly welcome. The beaches were stunning, and overall, it was a fun, unforgettable, enriching, and rewarding experience.

This volunteering experience was my first ever on world packers, and it was a great place to start! The team are lovely and you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive. All volunteering hours are strictly followed, and you have plenty of free time to explore the island. Going in April, the island is quiet, and so it is a very relaxed and calm atmosphere that I used to explore, journal and read. I also spent free time exploring other islands such as Mykonos and Tinos, which was very easy from Syros Port. I loved enjoying the island and contributing to its sustainability at the same time. ❤️
