Pars hostel became my home! Thanks to Kazul, the best manager ever, my coworkers, specially Erick and Arantza. And Guiti, the host, took care of me and became my second mom in there!! I met so many amazing people that will be in my heart forever and it was the best experience ever! The work hours are fare, just make sure you really communicate your needs and know your role before coming! somethings were changed last minute about my role and days off, at first I was worry but turned out being even better than I could have expected!! ❤️

I had to share a room with 11 people (guets). Several days I had to work 8 hours a day (4 hours in the morning helping with the cleaning and 4 hours taking care of the pubcrow). I needed to use my own money to buy the subway ticket to take the guests to the bars and clubs. I would not repeat or recommend the experience, despite the amazing manager Kazu always trying to improve every situation by doing his best, it was generally exhausting and not what was expected of a volunteer. A big hug to the whole team that works at the hostel <3

Thank you for sharing your experience and for your kind words about the team. We’re sorry to hear that the experience wasn’t what you expected and that you found it exhausting at times.

We’d like to clarify a few points. While you mentioned the working hours, there were also several days when the pub crawl or other activity didn’t take place, and you had time to rest, even when it wasn’t an official day off. Additionally, helping with the cleaning was an emergency, not something that was required of volunteers on a regular basis.

Regarding the transportation, we apologize for any misunderstanding, but volunteers are not expected to use their own money to take guests to bars. We’ve always covered these expenses or provided alternatives.

We appreciate your feedback on team's hard work, as we always strive to improve. Your contribution is greatly valued, and we remember the good moments we shared together.

Sending you a big hug and wishing you the best in your future adventures!

To work in a hostel is more than save money. Its something that you cannot explain, you just have to try at least once in life. I had a good time working in the hostel taking care of the social activities and meeting awesome people every day. I had some extra activities that is not mentioned here like taking care of the terrace, buy stuff to the breakfast in the supermarket and making beds (every sunday). Anyway, the experience was really good and I recommend !

I had a great time at Pars Tailors Hostel in Barcelona! I worked especially helping them with the social environment, making sure all the guest were having fun, organizing drinking games and leading the PubCrawl. But I also helped them at cleaning (taking off the breakfast, some days doing the beds, sweeping the terrace) and as kitchen assistant.
