The Experience

A typical day involves caring for our animals, our vegetable garden, fruit trees, and the maintenance of the garden. It also includes bioconstructions with natural methods and gathering firewood. We expect travelers to have a proactive, helpful attitude and a willingness to learn. Something important for us is to avoid excessive consumption of substances that disrupt the smooth functioning of living together. Sharing with us is returning to nature as a lifestyle.

I loved my experience at the project and wish I could have stayed longer. The rooms were super comfortable and the house is adorable. The people there are so kind, we spent all of our time working, cooking and talking, always together. The work was also super fun and fulfilling to use paja and barro to insolate the gallinero for the winter. Horacio also gave us the true Asado Argentino experience. Muchas gracias por todo!! Highly recommend coming here!

I had a really nice time at the project! The tasks were very relaxed during the week, and the weekends are definitely more structured. I loved spending time with the animals, especially the goats!! It felt really nice to spend time outdoors and reset. It is a beautiful, remote area. Thank you to everyone who made my experience great!

I stayed one week in the project and it was really great! The place is beautiful, it is pretty isolated so it's a good place to disconnect with the city life. The house is cozy and the kitchen has lots of equipment too, so very practical if you like to cook. The host horacio is very welcoming and will gladly teach you what you want to learn. But if you stay a short time, just be aware that he is mostly here on the week end. In any case, the project is a great project and i highly recommend the place!

Volunteering at the project was such a special experience. The farm is peaceful, beautiful, and full of good energy. Horacio, the host, is super kind, easy to talk to, and really passionate about what he does. The work was varied—gardening, helping with small projects, and learning about sustainable living. I felt like I was part of something meaningful. The place has a great vibe, with stunning nature around and a strong sense of community. I left feeling recharged and grateful. Highly recommend to anyone looking to connect with nature and good people!

Thank you dear Ibrahim for your contribution to Tierra Mágica, for your kindness, joy and always willing to join in all the activities on the farm. We wish you the best for your upcoming trips and, of course, we would be happy to make more Tucuman empanadas the next time you visit us!
Hugs from the Tierra Mágica team! 🌿✨🔥🧉🥟🥟🥟🥟😋

The project was exactly what I wanted and needed as my first worldpacker experience. I would recommend. Both the host and volunteers welcomed me kindly and showed me the daily routine of looking after the animals and plants. I learnt a lot of Spanish, as well as cooking, gardening, and local dance (tango). I laughed and sung a lot. The people really make the experience amazing. Be aware there are periods where you could be the only volunteer, but there are always some people around. One thing to note; when it rains there is a lot of mosquitos, so bring long clothes and bug spray. Lots of ❤️
