The Experience

We are looking for people who want to share their language (English) and all what it means (culture, religion, cosmovision, and so on). We have three shifts in our institution (morning, afternoon and night) they can choose two classes in the shifts they want. Every class of two hours. We hope the volunteer has teaching experience and can contribute to our standards of quality education as an institution. We also hope they can enjoy!

This was one of the best experiences I've had in my life! From the moment I arrived, I was treated like a member of the family. They treat you with so much care, take you to see everything, help you in anything you need. I really felt at home. The teachers that you work with soon become like best friends, and the places you stay are always so amazing. The work itself is very rewarding, the students you meet and schools you visit are all so amazing. Steven and John will be who you spend time with most, and they are like saints - I’ve never met such generous people. I recommend 1000%! 💫

To say that this has been one of the best experiences of my life would be an understatement, I couldn't be more grateful to Steven, John and the gang for everything they have done for me the last few months. I have learned so much about Colombia, having the opportunity to explore the food, the community and the country side. The work itself doesn't feel like work at all getting to spend time with passionate hardworking students and teachers who have gone out of their way to make me feel comfortable. I will remember this experience fondly forever and I already miss my family here.

Hattie has set the bar incredibly high for future volunteers. She is a truly talented young woman with the potential to achieve anything she sets her mind to. Throughout her time with us, she was consistently supportive, patient, and collaborative with both our students and the team.

Her problem-solving skills are outstanding—she always found thoughtful and effective solutions to every challenge we faced as an institution.

Thank you, Hattie, for being such a meaningful part of our lives :)

The school is well organised with programs in nearby towns. I was based in Puerto Perales with a flexible schedule and visited Medellín, Cartagena and San Andrés. 5 hrs bus from Bogotá and Steven's amazing mom picked me up. My house was spacious, private and had strong WiFi for remote work. You help students ask and answer questions in English. Grammar skills are a plus but not required as the teachers cover that part. Steven is incredibly kind and hardworking. He makes sure everything runs smoothly and truly cares about every volunteer. I felt supported and completely at home.
