The Experience

We are seeking dedicated and motivated volunteers to help at our alpaca farm. In addition to keeping animals and growing our own food, we run the farm as a peaceful retreat for visitors. Sustainability is central to everything we do, from renovations to making the most of the land as a food resource. Volunteers will assist with a variety of tasks, including animal care, gardening, and building projects.

Best first Worldpackers experience ever! Hege and her family have been so kind and welcoming. The farm is absolutely gorgeous, between sea and mountains. The work hours are respected and we've had a variety of tasks during our stay: taking care of the alpacas and the bunnies on the daily, build a gravel path in the forest, clean the beach, and do some gardening. I hadn't experienced work at a farm before and I must say I loved it. On one of our days off, Hege's father John brought us on his boat and we hopped on 2 beautiful islands, it was an amazing experience! I hope to come back soon :)

My experience at the farm was truly unforgettable! Hege and her family welcomed me with so much kindness and generosity from the very first day. The accommodation was cozy and comfortable, and the alpacas were just the cutest! The work was varied, fun, and never felt boring. I can only recommend coming here — it's the perfect place to start your trip. I couldn't have wished for a better experience. Thank you so much for everything!

Hege was more than welcoming. I've learned so many new skills, from learning how to take care of alpacas, chickens and rabbits to learning how to build a fence and a sheep enclosure. The tasks were fairly easy to do especially since I got to do them together with the rest of the volunteers. Hege was flexible with the work hours and was always there to help and guide us along the way. On my days off I had the chance to do so many fun activities such as kayaking, paddle boating, hiking and fishing with John (Hege's Father). I recommend this volunteering experience to everyone.

My experience at the farm has been truly memorable. The farm is a peaceful place where you can connect with nature, animals, and even your true self. For me, it was also a healing experience, and I'm so grateful to Hege for giving me the opportunity to volunteer in her world. She understood my difficulties with some of the daily tasks and gave me alternatives where I could contribute fully. The boat trip with John, Hege's father, was amazing! I absolutely loved it. I highly recommend this experience, and I hope to see Norway again soon ♥️

I had an amazing time on the farm! Hege was the kindest, she made sure everyone felt comfortable. Living in a peaceful, natue-close environment was such a special experience and I met some lovely people there. I'm especially thankful to Jonh (Hege's father) for taking us on boat trips and fishing. The work itself was varied: animal care, fence building, oiling, etc... - mostly physical work, but all competely manageable. Hege was flexible about the work schedule. Everything was explained clearly, so I always knew what to do. Overall, a fantastic experience that I'd definitely recommend!:))
