The Experience

When you volunteer at global village you will be required to help up to 3 hours a day cleaning rooms and bathrooms or reception shifts. The rest of the day you can spend doing whatever you like, weather its exploring the city and its many pubs or going for a day trip somewhere around Ireland. We are very flexible with when you help as we do a roster each week and can work around your needs so you can get the best experience from your time here.

Had the most amazing time at the hostel! The shifts were easy and flexible so had heaps of time to explore Belfast and Northern Ireland. The people were amazing and Tash was a fantastic manager in every way. Would definitely recommend

I had the most incredible time at the hostel!!! the work was very do-able and tash the manager made sure to work with us volunteers, so we could easily go on day/weekend trips etc. the friends i made here were unforgettable and belfast is such a cool city!! would recommend a hundred times over!! thank you :))

It was a really lovely experience as I got to meet lots of great people. There were plenty of things to do in Belfast and the surrounding area so I was never bored. Tash was a fantastic manager and friend who was so supportive and Mark was very kind and welcoming to us volunteers. I enjoyed spending time with the other volunteers as well as meeting the people staying at the hostel! Fantastic experience, thank you!

I stayed in the hostel for four months and a half, and I have to say it was an amazing experience that would recommend to everyone. The work is very easy and straightforward, and the work hours are very flexible. Mark and Colette are super nice, kind and fun people. Tash is the best manager ever, she is always around to help, to go out, and to create fun activities for us volunteers. The facilities are very nice, and the hostel is really close to the City Centre. Belfast is a great city and GV is the perfect hostel to volunteer and get to know it. Thank you so much for everything!
