Overall, it wasn't a great experience. I loved the place, the nature is very nice and the dogs are all very friendly. The living conditions are a bit rusty but I knew that before and didn't mind it. However, I left after two weeks instead of staying one month. Gaby, the owner, told me she thought it was best for me to leave because we didn't get along very well. I agreed on that. What bothered me is that some rules and structures were not told to me in my first days, e.g. "no leaving after 8pm" just after 11days of my stay. If I would have known that, I wouldn't have come to volunteer.

Hi Sophie, unfortunately your profile was not in line with the needs of the shelter. As we discussed, you were more interested in your personal issues than in the needs of the dogs. For example, you lived with a disabled dog and you were never able to check her paws to see if she was hurt because she was crawling. You left the dogs' water bowls almost empty when you lived there. These are basic situations for someone who is interested in the well-being of another.
