The people at the hostel are very kind and fun. I had a great experience volunteering at the hostel, there I was able to meet people from different places and connect with the people I met there. The shifts are very very calm, despite being long, and the administrators are very flexible when setting up the schedule. There are lots of parties and games to pass the time at the hostel. The wordpackers host is not the person who welcomes and coordinates the volunteers, in fact she doesn't even live in Mancora, but Meli, who is responsible for this at the hostel, is incredible. I will miss Mancora!

I had a great time at Wildrover Mancora. I stayed there for two weeks working as a bartender and party promoter and it was super nice. The whole team was super friendly, respectful and funny. I had some experience in bartending before but this extra knowledge isn't needed at all because they introduce you to your working environment and teach you all the things you need to do. In the evenings many locals came by for a drink which was the perfect opportunity for me to practice my Spanish and get know many new people. I would definitely recommend staying or volunteering there :)

In general the hostel is a nicely located hostel where you can meet a lot of good hearted travelers and make new friends. The tasks behind the bar can be fun, if there's enough people to give you the workload. However I would point out that the team spirit could be integrated further :)
