The Experience

We started last year to restore this beautiful place after it has been abandoned for years. Our aim is to share our sustainable philosophy of healthy and happy living with visitors from all over the world. People can have a yummy vegetarian meal or homebred cake, enjoy the old botanical garden, sleep over, rent a bike, browse through our own organic fruit trees. We are a small international team and we would love your help with the above!

It was a pleasure to stay in the host for two weeks for my first volunteering experience. People are really welcoming and friendly, but be prepared to spend a lot of time in nature, far from cities and tourist places. I had the opportunity to learn about gardening and painting and the kitchen world also, so it was a beautiful experience, even if the work could be a little challenging sometimes. Nice to have met you guys! Thank you for everything :)

Had a great week here, Lia and her team were so sweet and welcoming. They constantly checked up on us if everything was alright. I helped out in the kitchen where I did mostly cleaning and chopping vegetables. Working hours are respected and if there is a possiblity that the hours will change this will always be asked upfront if that is okay. Just know that besides being able to go to the lake there is not much to do in the area unless you bike atleast 30 minutes, then you get to the nearest town/ supermarket. Bikes are provided. Once again thank you Lia and the whole team for this experience!

The host was my first experience with worldpackers and I loved it, it couldn't have been better. It was 15 incredible days with amazing people, the environment is very quiet and beautiful, not to mention the lake which is a spectacle and the staff always super attentive and friendly.
