My time at the Finca was amazing, we got to learn a lot about food production and nature in general, and it was great to be immersed with locals! David is really nice and made us feel welcomed in the finca! My Spanish really improved by just being there 2 weeks! Really recommend if you are looking for something peaceful.

It's a wonderful place, beautiful and cozy, Inmerse in nature. You'll have to help with different tasks, both caring for the house and the animals, as well as having the opportunity to learn and connect with nature. David is an excellent host, knowledgeable about many subjects. He and his family are respectful and helpful . I had to leave earlier than planned but I'll be happy to return someday. 100% recommended.

I truly had a wonderful time at La the lodge! David was the perfect host, super friendly and speaks great English. He made us amazing coffee and we ate together a few times. He had a lot of tips on where to go in Colombia and is very knowledgeable. His wife and daughter are great as well, it really felt like a home away from home The work was fine, very versatile which was nice. I learned a lot about living and working on a farm, about animals, as well as the beautiful Colombian culture, food and Spanish language. There was also enough time to relax. 100% recommend! A wonderful month ❤️

We've been volunteering at La the lodge for one week as a couple. Our time there was great! We've been planting vegetables in the garden, removing old fences around the Finca and helping Miguel and David with building a water reservoir. David is a very helpful and friendly person with a big heart for nature. He prepared delicious coffee for us, taking us for a stunning hike around the huge property and even invited us to a family reunion in his house. Thanks for having us David, hasta pronto! <3

Davids Finca has awesome views and the house in which you stay has a beautiful terrace & a nice kitchen. David always made sure that I have enough food & occasionally invited me to beers, coffee or food. He is really friendly, can tell you a lot about different topics and makes sure that you enjoy your time and don't work too much / hard. Downsides for me: I kind of felt a little bit separated as you stay in another house, have to cook and eat every food by yourself etc. If you are the only volunteer there I think it could get a bit boring and lonely after some time.
