The Experience

Hello this is Sultan from Jordan. I am a guide with Bedouin roots, I am a teacher and I run a business dedicated to hosting travelers in desert tents. Being a guide I also make tours for the visitors letting them exploring the beautiful Wadi Rum desert and introducing them to the local culture. I had a great time living with Sultan in the camping! This has most definitely been an incredible opportunity to experience the Bedouin lifestyle up close and learn about the culture in a deeply immersive way. In absence of much tourism, the vast majority of the time was spent working from Sultan's house in the village, where I got the opportunity to meet many of his friends and family. Switching this up with days in the camping - either on jeep the camping with tourists, or for tea and food with friends - created a great balance between city- and the camping-life.

I went at a more quiet period cause of the Middle East situation now so there weren't many tourists and much work in the camping. but i was really able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the place. everyone was very nice to me and i was able to live the Bedouin way, eating local food and drinking Bedouin tea. there is truly no other place like the camping. it was so magical and breathtaking, i really think every one should come to experience it for themselves.

It was a good experience of volunteering worldwide. I did photos of the camping and the camping and posts to promote the camping. the camping is a really great place to feel connection with nature. The stars here are unbelievably beautiful. Sultan had been a good host. It was a good place to live and he did a tour for us.

Sultan was very friendly and flexible with our plans. the camping was very peaceful and empty, cus there are not so many Tourists there in summer. Me and the other volounteer lived in the camping completely alone, every day enjoying the atmosphere of the camping, wathing the stars and resting. The work was kinda simple. The only things is that there is No Wi-Fi in the camping, so we worked in the Village, in Sultan house. The food was good, and bedouin tea was great. On the Last day Sultan took us on a jeep trip around the camping an to see the sunset. The whole experience is great!

"Worldpackers is an extraordinary experience that has enriched my journey in unique ways. The platform has opened doors to engaging volunteer opportunities worldwide, allowing me to connect with local communities and share my skills. The variety of experiences offered, coupled with constant support from the team, has made my journey meaningful and memorable. Thanks to Worldpackers, I've lived authentic adventures, learned about new cultures, and formed lasting friendships. I highly recommend anyone looking to enhance their travel experience to consider Worldpackers as an indispensable platform
