The host is amazing. Yader is welcoming you with open arms and shows you his town and work with passion. The accommodation is really great and comfortable and you have a lot of privacy during the day. I went there in off season so it wasn't much to do where I could help the staff. Therefore I had a lot of time improving my Spanish and exploring the area. The tasks and working hours were good and easy for everyone. You get free breakfast and dinner and the food is delicious :)

I couldn't have asked for a better first experience as a hostel volunteer! I arrived just in time for semana santa, the busiest week in Antigua, and besides being able to enjoy the celebrations outside for half the day, I got to work with and meet Zully and Natalya, the inspiration behind hostal the hotel.

This was my first Worldpackers & I really enjoyed the previous manager Cesar he was amazing. The owner did kind of expect us both to be around outside agreed upon hours which was strange - he doesn't live on the property. for girls interested - just know this is a very male dominated hostel - atleast it was when i was staying there. I ended up leaving my volunteer early because i was very uncomfortable with the older male guests as a young solo traveler. Also the bathroom is kinda gross but the hostel is centrally located in Antigua which is nice - you're right in the middle of everything :)

Yader is such a welcoming person and he really wants to make you feel at home. He is really kind and even with the language barrier it was'nt a problem. I got to practise my spanish with him as well, since he is so patient and helping.
