The Experience

Our place is a project to create a relaxed yet stimulating enviroment for people to learn and enjoy with dogs. Is located in a rural setting 1 hr. from Madrid. Now it's used for small training events/workshops related to dog training. Eventually we like to welcome people travelling with horses to stay overnight with us. You'll help with dog walks, care & education or maintenance. We now have 5 energetic dogs looking forward to share with you.

Mariana was an exceptional Worldpacker at El Momento. Her dedication to dogs, commitment to learning, and willingness to help even on days off—for example when there is a veterinary emergency—made her an essential part of our project. She is cheerful, respectful, organized, and usually follows instructions with precision and safety. Her love for nature and experience on farms are reflected in her daily dedication. She left a mark and will always be welcome at El Momento.

David is kind, but the experience differs from the description. Hours are posted, but the tasks take up the day, making it difficult to have free time or even organize one's own meals. It's more like a private house with dogs than a dog shelter. I suggested improving the organization, but there is still a lack of clarity in the schedules. The dogs are lovely and you learn a lot, but if you're looking to only meet the agreed hours and have real personal time, it will be difficult to achieve it here. I hope the description is updated to avoid confusion, be patient, and that you can learn from the dogs here 🩵

I learned about the life of the dog, walking with them and observing them in their processes; it's the best part of this volunteering. Environmental awareness is also encouraged in this experience because the farm runs on solar panels and great care is taken to avoid wasting energy, so one adapts to country life. One must be flexible with the distribution of tasks around the house; sometimes one cooks, helps clean the house, and more. When there are more volunteers, the division of labor is clearer and, therefore, the results are more effective.

Thank you very much, Vitoria, for your help with the dogs and the virtual side of the research - the educational and dog-protection project at El Momento.

Send the evidence. I will be happy to defend myself against these insults in court.
